Thank you so much to everyone who checked out my post: 3 Boho Bedroom Designs where I shared 3 bohemian-inspired design plans for our guest bedroom makeover.
You guys voted on the blog and social media and shared what you liked about each plan. Through the comments it became clear that one was standing out above the rest. Today I’m so excited (as only a decorator can be) about announcing the guest bedroom design plan we are going with.
Design Plan 1 is the winner!
You loved this design plan because of the bright white walls and pops of color from the rug and throw. The plants also bring in a wow factor that got y’all talking! And we love it because it’s a completely different approach than any other room in our home.
First step? We need to pick the paint! As easy as it would be to just go grab any white and go with it, I want to keep the trim, ceiling and doorways the white they already are. I find it’s worth the few bucks and extra time to grab a few samples and make sure we can live with a color before going all out. More to come on the paint!
I’m also on the hunt for a great western rug, but since we are going west for our honeymoon in the fall, I may use this beauty until then. Margo loves it. The camels y’all. The camels:
To get this look I’ll also be adding in tons of plants which really just means moving some around. This room gets decent light in the late afternoon but since I don’t go into this room very often I need something that requires very little water. Succulents anyone? 🙂
Thanks again to everyone who chimed in, can’t wait to share this guest room design plan process with you!
