Whoa, I knew that I was a little behind on some of my own home decor projects, but didn’t realize how many were in some stage of progress. Not finished mind you, just in some stage of getting there.

Anyone else have a really bad habit of starting too many things at once? It’s like decorator multitasking to the next level.

It really started when we moved into our very first home a year and a half ago. I’m in love with this adorable cottage ūüôā Read¬†more about how we met here.

Charming as she is, the 1950’s frame doesn’t have much in the way of storage – our master closet being the only exception. We have big plans for that bad boy, but for now, let’s focus on one project at a time. ¬†See, there I go again. The struggle is real people!

Anyways, without a ton of storage it’s taken a while to figure out where everything goes. ¬†Since I don’t really dig clutter, I¬†buy¬†or build (along with help from my forever partner in crime, Michael) additional storage solutions – for every room at the same time. That’s how it starts…

Making Time

Before I had real time to work on these projects I would carve out any – and I do mean any time to get them done. Michael loves to tell the story of me painting our kitchen at 2 am over Christmas break. ¬†But hey, I’m a night owl and it got done. Looks great too if I do say so myself.

So now that there is time, I’m pretty pumped to finish up a few things. First up: our master bedroom update, dining room refresh and home office organization.

Still working on the one thing at a time part as you can see but the process of seeing it all come together is totally worth it in the end. A home should really be as functional as it is beautiful, amiright?

I love coming up with creative ways to solve our homeowner challenges – and now love that I can share them with you!!! Do you have several projects currently in the works? Leave a comment below and let me know what projects you’re currently juggling!
